Phil Crosby is an award-winning Hollywood screenwriter and documentary director, based in Santa Monica, California. A former producer with the Discovery Channel, he has produced films for the History Channel, National Geographic Television, and PBS, and has directed or written for CBS News, the Discovery Channel, the Biography Channel, ESPN's Sportscenter, ESPN2's Primetime Sportscenter, CNN, Court TV, Oxygen Network, A&E Network and HBO. His films have won several national Emmy Awards including one for his story "The Largest Abandoned Mine in America" which aired on the National Geographic Channel. His films are used in many colleges worldwide to help students learn how to write professionally.
